I received this directly from designer Yamashita himself at the “beauty:beast” after-party held at Ebisu MILK in the late ’90s.
It is a hand-printed, non-commercial T-shirt made specifically for the event. I wore it right there and had Mr. Yamashita sign it. I wore it only once that day. It has been washed, but the stain on the hem did not come out completely. Since then, I have stored it in a dark place.
Although it has some yellowing due to age, it is in good condition for a vintage item from about 30 years ago. To protect the print, I did not wash it again before listing it.
I am parting with this item to make room in my collection and hope to pass it on to someone who will cherish it.
